Mosques in France

This map gathers, town by town, the Muslim places of worship recorded in France. It serves two purposes: finding the mosques already present near you, and spotting the areas where they are missing, a useful lead when a new project begins. The location is given at town level, never the exact address.

In the 12th century, the geographer al-Idrisi composed for King Roger of Sicily a description of the world with maps of rare precision for the time. To place the sites is already to understand a territory.
